Design a unique and creative jewellery piece and you could be in with a chance to Win £1000 & have your original Jewellery design manufactured and promoted in Argento’s Spring Summer Catalogue in 2011.
Argento have launched this exciting competition to recognise and promote the wealth of young talent, creativity, and imagination in jewellery design that exists across the UK and Ireland, by offering a showcase for their artistry.
The Prize:
The winning design will be manufactured, promoted and sold across the UK and Ireland in all Argento stores. The winner will be awarded a £1000 cash prize as well as the manufacture of the piece of jewellery.
How to enter:
Entries need only be renderings/drawings of either a costume or silver piece, as part of the prize, the winning design will be manufactured by ARGENTO.
All designs must be new and original and can never have won any previous competition or be sold in any other jewellery retailer.
Each entry must be accompanied by a description of the design and materials used.
Awards will be given in two categories:
Costume Jewellery – entrant to design a piece and/or collection of costume jewellery which exudes originality, and is made of high quality materials. Materials to be determined by the entrant.
Silver – entrant to design a piece of high quality, 925 Sterling Silver jewellery, with or without crystals or semi-precious stones.
All designs should be submitted, no later than the deadline: 1st August 2010, to:

A current CV and photograph must accompany all entries, as well as a self- addressed, postage paid envelope for return of the entry.
Judging to take place on 20th August 2010
Designs will be judged on the basis of wearability, saleability, originality, appropriateness of pricing and innovative use of techniques and materials.
A winner and runner-up will be chosen from each category: Silver and Costume
The winner will be announced, and their designs featured in all marketing materials. The winning piece(s) will be manufactured by Argento, and displayed in all stores across the UK and Ireland as well as promoted, along with its designer, in the ARGENTO Spring/Summer Catalogue (due to launch April 2011).
Important Information
The winning design, once manufactured, will remain the property of Argento. The winner of the competition will be promoted in all marketing materials regarding the design, however all proceeds of sales of the jewellery will remain wholly with Argento.
